About Therapy

What’s it like working with me?

When you step into my Santa Monica office or join me online, I want you to feel like you can finally take a deep breath.

My clients often say being with me feels calming and grounding.

This is your space to show up just as you are: the parts that feel strong, the parts that feel stuck, and even the parts you might not always feel proud of.

Everything is welcome here.

Therapy with me is a personalized experience.

Working with me means you’ll feel both supported and gently challenged.

As we work together, I listen deeply and without judgment, inviting you to notice the beliefs or patterns holding you back.

My role isn’t to tell you how to live your life, but to walk alongside you as we uncover new perspectives and possibilities.

You can expect warmth, honesty, and respect in every session. And while there’s room for compassion and validation, there’s also space for curiosity and growth. That combination is where real change begins to take root.

Here’s what you can expect.

Couples often shift from the same old arguments and discover new ways to communicate, leading to understanding and connection.

If you’re struggling with anxiety, you’ll learn tools to calm your mind and body, while also working through the deeper patterns that keep worry in control.

If trauma is part of your story, we’ll go at a safe pace. Healing doesn’t have to mean reliving the pain. You’ll have space to rebuild trust in yourself and your life.

I hope that therapy becomes a place where you feel deeply seen, where you can lay down what you’ve been carrying, and where you start to feel empowered to create the changes you want.

About Ryan Brewer, LMFT

Yoga came first, then therapy.

Before becoming a therapist, I taught yoga for years. That experience shaped my view of healing as something that happens when mind, body, and spirit are all involved.

Today, my work blends Eastern mindfulness practices and presence with Western psychology’s evidence-based approaches.

I hold master’s degrees in both Spiritual Psychology and Depth Psychology, and I’m trained in EMDR, Internal Family Systems, the Gottman Method, and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy. These approaches give us options to find what works best for you.

Transformation is the goal.

At the heart of my work is a simple belief: therapy should feel like a safe relationship where fundamental transformation is possible.

Whether you’re navigating relationship struggles, living with anxiety, or carrying the weight of trauma, I’ll meet you with openness, curiosity, and care, so you don’t have to go through it alone.
